My friends,

I want to start by offering a sincere apology for my recent absence. As many of you know, I’ve taken on a new role as a high school Principal, and the transition has been rewarding and challenging. In these past weeks, my focus has been on finding my footing and getting my head wrapped around the responsibilities and workload that come with this important position.

Now that I’m settling into this new chapter, I hope to return to a more consistent posting schedule. I’ve missed engaging with all of you—our community of truth seekers—and I genuinely appreciate your patience and continued support during this time. I look forward to reconnecting with each of you as we continue on this journey together.

Thank you for your understanding and for being a part of this community.

Warmly,

Ty

Expanding Holiness: The Esoteric Vision of a World Transformed

In the vast tapestry of Torah wisdom, few concepts stir the imagination as much as the mysterious idea that, in the Messianic future, the Land of Israel will expand to encompass the entire world. This is not a simple geographical shift but a profound spiritual transformation, where the boundaries of holiness, once confined to a specific nation and land, will extend to the ends of the earth.

As we read in Deuteronomy 4:6, God instructs the people of Israel to obey His laws so that other nations may see their wisdom: "Keep them and do them, for that will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples." This verse hints at the broader purpose of Israel's observance of Torah, which will one day inspire all nations to align themselves with divine principles.

Israel as a Model for Divine Living

The Torah consistently describes the Jewish people as a "kingdom of priests" and a "holy nation" (Exodus 19:6) whose unique relationship with God is meant to inspire and elevate the rest of humanity. Just as the priests of Israel represent the Jewish people before God, the nation of Israel is envisioned to represent what humanity can achieve when aligned with divine principles.

In this week's Torah reading, Parshat Ki Teitzei states that the Jewish people were commanded to “demonstrate to the nations of the world that this goal is achievable” (Chumash Devarim, p. 121). The establishment of Israel’s laws within its borders serves as a model for the entire world to aspire to. This "microcosm" of holiness becomes the blueprint for the future global order where divine consciousness is universal.

In the Torah portion, Ki Teitzei (Deuteronomy 21:10–25:19), we find commandments addressing both personal morality and communal ethics. These laws are not confined to just Israel but reflect an ideal of holiness applicable to all. As the Torah says, "It will be righteousness for you before the Lord your God" (Deuteronomy 24:13). As portion Ki Tetze document notes, "God tells us to nurture special concern for the stranger, the orphan, and the widow” (Ki Tetze, Lesson 49, p. 6 FFOZ).

The Expansion of Holiness: Not Physical, But Metaphysical

The esoteric concept that the Land of Israel will “expand to encompass the entire world” (Chumash Devarim, p. 121) has a deep metaphysical meaning. This expansion is not about physical territory but about the spread of divine holiness and Torah principles. The sages understood that Israel's holiness would one day be a universal reality, reflecting the idea that “in the messianic future, the Land of Israel will expand to encompass the entire world” (Chumash Devarim, p. 121).

The Prophet Isaiah captures this vision when he writes, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:9). This verse highlights the eventual universal recognition of God’s wisdom and presence, a reality that aligns with Israel’s mission to be a "light to the nations" (Isaiah 49:6).

In this spiritual expansion, the Torah’s commandments become the universal framework for ethical living. Deuteronomy 22:1-4 teaches us about returning lost property, even to strangers, emphasizing a level of righteousness that goes beyond Israel's borders. This ethical behavior, driven by Torah, reflects the divine justice that will eventually fill the earth.

Yeshua of Nazareth and the Messianic Vision

Yeshua of Nazareth fits precisely into this vision of expanding holiness. In His teachings, Yeshua speaks of the Kingdom of God as a present reality that grows organically, much like a mustard seed (Matthew 13:31-32). This growth aligns with the Torah’s vision of Israel’s holiness expanding to encompass the world.

Yeshua’s mission was to call the Jewish people—and, by extension, all humanity—to deeper ethical and spiritual living. His emphasis on loving one’s neighbor (Mark 12:31), caring for the poor (Matthew 25:40), and practicing humility and righteousness all reflect the Torah’s highest ideals. Yeshua reinforced the Torah’s commandments as the pathway to divine transformation.

In Matthew 5:17, Yeshua declares, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill (practice and teach them correctly) them.” This statement places Yeshua squarely within the Torah’s framework, affirming that the divine commandments are the blueprint for bringing about the Messianic age.

Moreover, Yeshua’s teachings on forgiveness, humility, and holiness echo the Torah’s ethical laws. By encouraging His followers to be “salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13), Yeshua calls them to be agents of this expansion of divine consciousness, just as Israel is called to be a light to the nations.

Yeshua’s life and teachings ultimately extend the Jewish Messianic vision of a world transformed by divine justice and righteousness. His call to repentance and ethical living paves the way for the expanded holiness prophesied in both Torah and the Prophets. In this way, Yeshua is not separate from the Jewish Messianic vision but is an integral part of how it unfolds for both Israel and the world.

Present-Day Israel and Her Covenantal Obligation

For Israel to fulfill its Messianic destiny, it must return to its covenantal obligations under the Torah. As stated in Deuteronomy 30:2, “Return to the Lord your God and obey His voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul.” This verse emphasizes the importance of teshuvah (repentance) and a return to the ways of Torah.

Israel’s divine role is to be “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” (Chumash Devarim, p. 121), not just for itself, but to serve as a beacon of light and righteousness for all nations. If Israel returns to its Torah-observant roots, it will lead the world by example. As the sages have said, “When Israel keeps the Torah, peace and blessing come to the world.”

Isaiah 48:18 – “If only you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.”

The prophets speak of this return to Torah as being the key to the world’s peace and restoration. Isaiah 2:3 proclaims: “For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” Present-day Israel must remember its role as a nation set apart to serve God, returning to the covenant that God made with its ancestors.

Only when Israel recommits to its divine calling can it truly fulfill the vision of being a light to the nations, showing the world the path to peace, justice, and divine truth. In doing so, Israel will not only fulfill its own destiny but will bring the entire world into a new era of divine consciousness, righteousness, and peace.

The Role of Gentile Nations: Protecting Israel's Destiny

For this Messianic vision to unfold, the nations of the world must recognize their responsibility in supporting Israel as she pursues her divine calling. The Gentile nations are not merely passive observers in this process; they are called to actively bless and protect Israel, aligning with the biblical principle that “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3).

This covenantal promise underscores the idea that the fate of the Gentile nations is intertwined with Israel's journey toward fulfilling her destiny. When the nations honor and protect Israel, they themselves become blessed, finding peace and prosperity through their support. As the world faces challenges, the path to global peace is intrinsically linked to Israel's ability to uphold her covenant and serve as a light to the nations.

What Does This Mean for Us Today?

While the Messianic vision may seem far off, Yeshua of Nazareth teaches that the Kingdom of God is already here, “in your midst” (Luke 17:21). The Kingdom is not just a future reality but a present spiritual truth, accessible through our daily actions. Like a mustard seed that grows into something far more significant, our small, intentional acts of righteousness contribute to the larger transformation of the world (Matthew 13:31-32). When aligned with God’s will, these small actions plant the seeds of the Messianic age.

The Torah commands us to live with compassion, justice, and integrity—values anyone can embody, regardless of faith or geography. Every small act, whether kindness, forgiveness, or standing up for justice, ripples outward and helps bring about God’s Kingdom. As Yeshua teaches in Luke 16:10, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” Our everyday choices matter; these small acts build toward the world's larger vision of peace and righteousness.

Living in the present reality of the Kingdom means embracing the opportunity to create sacred moments in the ordinary. Each choice we make in line with the teachings of Yeshua and the Torah draws us closer to the ultimate Messianic vision where God’s holiness covers the earth. The Kingdom is here and becoming, unfolding as we faithfully live out God's commandments.

The Messianic age is not just something we wait for—it’s something we help build now. We become agents of the Kingdom's expansion by practicing love, kindness, and righteousness daily. The small, holy acts we perform today bring us closer to the future reality where God’s peace and justice reign. The Kingdom of God begins with us, in our hearts and actions, and extends outward, transforming the world one act of goodness at a time.

Have a great day! Stay sharp. Pray. Be ready.
